لست أجد في وصف الدكتور أحمد مستجير من وصفه هو نفسه لواحد من علماء الوراثة المفكرين حين تحدث عن انطباعاته عما كتبه هذا العالم في سيرته الذاتية فقال:
«أسلوب أديب لا شك، وخيال شاعر حزين، وحكمة فيلسوف مجرب، وعقل حاد لمثقف جاد واسع الاطلاع، وأخلاقيات عاشق للطبيعة، ثم إنه يمزج هذا كله بسخرية محببة».
والواقع أن مستجير كان بالإضافة إلى هذا، صاحب نفس إنسانية راقية، سامية، قادرة على العطاء، وقادرة على التسامح، وقادرة على الحب، وقادرة على التعلم المستمر.
